"Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do ... but how much love we put in that action." - Mother Teresa

Welcome to my home.

Surrounded by century-old trees, decorated with a mixture of styles such as Belgian, Provencal, Japanese, Shaker, French Industrial, 60’s Design, English Traditional and Artist’s Loft, this unexpected 'resort-like' farmhouse is located in the heart of Brentwood (Los Angeles) just minutes away from Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Bel Air, and Westwood ... not to mention 'Brentwood Village' where you will find charming shops and restaurants!

The house is located less than 5 miles from the beach, the heart of UCLA, Royce Hall, The Broad Stage Performing Arts Center, Temescal Gateway Park, Will Rogers State Historic Park and Polo Field, etc.

From swimming in the large pool to playing Petanque in the back yard, from biking or hiking in the canyons to visiting the neighbor’s horses, this property is made for cozy dinners and playing games with friends and family (some games include Uno, Chinese Checkers, Backgammon, Go, Taboo, Balderdash, Puzzles, Cards, and a few more). There are 8 sets of Petanque boules for you to use, as well as a few tennis rackets and tons of tennis ball (there are multiple free-access tennis courts around the city). There is also a complete Badmington set for 10 people ...

For the active types and professional athletes, you are minutes away from The Brentwood Country Club (Exclusive Golf Club), The Riviera Country Club (one of LA's oldest and most exclusive private golf/tennis club), Will Rogers Park (Polo brunch anyone?), and Mandeville Canyon Road which is LA's premier destination for bikers training for 'The Tour de France', Triathlon, and other bike races.

With newly planted cooking herbs, berry bushes (blueberry, raspberry, goldenberry, blackberry) , citrus trees (grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange), fig trees and pomegranate trees … if you're lucky enough to come at the right season … you’ll be blessed with organic fruits. You will not believe you are in Los Angeles!

Whether you are a photographer, a chef, a musician, an artist, an author, an architect, a designer, a film person, an entrepreneur, a business man, a family … this peaceful home – full of charm and “esprit” - will feed your inspiration. You’ll never want to leave.

Except for a very rare and occasional use of bleach, the house uses only non-toxic, eco-friendly and bio-degradable cleaning products, as well as recycled paper products. And that goes for the garden as well. The only pesticides are lady bugs and snail-eating snails.

A whole-house water filter makes the water feel and taste delicious from any faucet.

2 super comfortable semi-firm natural latex TWIN mattresses, 2 firm memory foam TWIN mattresses, 1 super comfortable semi-firm natural latex KING mattress, and 1 semi-firm QUEEN foam mattress ...

There is a child's folding cot w/ mattress, pads and sheets, and two restaurant style high chairs in the dining room.

There is a professional massage table (and special sheets), two exercise balls, a Chi-machine, a Vibrational machine, and a few other gadgets at your disposal ... (upon request).

Thieves and other organic and therapeutic essential oils are diffused in the house on a regular basis to keep the air clean. Thieves is a combination of essential oils that are highly antiviral, antiseptic, anti-fungus, antibacterial, anti-infectious and so forth.

Keyboards, remote controls, phones and knobs cleaned w/ alcohol after each individual stay.

Unlimited National calls (US only)

There is high speed wireless internet in the whole house, but if you prefer, it can be unplugged and there is a DSL cable in every room.

There is a 32" Television in the living room ONLY, a multi-zone DVD player, and a DVR recorder that can record up to 200 hours. Cable channels include HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, CNN, BRAVO, and all the basic cable channels such as E!, MTV, VH1, MSNBC, FOX, ON-DEMAND, etc...)

Magazine Subscriptions include Los Angeles Magazine, Inc., Angeleno, W, US, and Details, and Esquire.

1 Extra Large BBQ & 1 small BBQ are both available for your convenience. You'll just have to buy the charcoal ... (please do not use chemical fluids).

And more surprises ...

I'm looking forward to welcoming you in my own little 'LA sanctuary'.

Petanque anyone?

"We have rented many houses, in many countries, over the years and have often been delighted by the experience. This, however, is the first time that we have been motivated to write a review. Our reason is quite simple: this house is so special that its praises simply need to be sung. In addition to a charming and discrete owner, this is a home - with every imaginable facility and equipment (even complimentary Nespresso!). Most important, though, is its soul: we have never slept so well, dined so peacefully and simply enjoyed being here. The explanation is rather obvious when you meet the owner and discover the thought, imagination and love which she has applied to creating this special dwelling. The calming spirit of her vision invades the mind and makes one feel relaxed and happy. On a practical note, the location is also perfect as a base to visit all LA's, and environs, sights. We have been blessed with perfect weather and now, sadly, leave - but invigorated by a tremendous ten days' stay and by memories which we will keep forever. (Or at least until we return - hopefully very soon!). Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for everything."

"We just got back from a four night stay here and I can't say enough good things about the Brentwood Artist Farmhouse. It is in a private and quiet location as described, very well appointed and cared for, and is full of interesting things to ponder. The time we spent there was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped, and there was food and drink waiting for us when we arrived. Our bed had an elegant linen duvet cover over down, that was washed after each guest. All the people in our party loved their beds. The pool was delightful. The house had Zen touches and details too numerous to enumerate. Delphine was at our disposal, fastidious, and very lovely. At our request, she told us of the history of the house, and shared her ceramic work with us. We would definitely recommend this property to a friend, and hope to return ourselves."

"Absolutely fantastic! We are a family of five and we just had wonderful stay at the Artist Farmhouse. Delphine was such a great host and the house is impeccably kept. She made sure we were 100% catered for our entire stay with her. If we could give six stars we would."

"Delphine is the rock star of hospitality. Book this place. You will not be sorry and you will never want to leave"
- N.T. (Australia)

"I sent a team for a business trip to this apartment and their comments were that the place was simply amazing. Everything was there for them to have a good time. They qualified their stay as 'amazing' and they felt very welcome. If they have to go see that client again, they want me to book this exact place. I think that speaks for itself. On my side, the interactions with the owner could not have been more smooth. Two thumbs up for a wonderful house and it's owner!"
- F.G. (Canada)

"We spent the week before our wedding with our direct family at Delphine's "getaway," "work-of-art," "sanctuary," and "home." Memories that will never be forgotten. Delphine is a very gracious home owner who is meticulous in her preparation and hospitality. Besides having a healthy, aesthetically pleasing home to share, Delphine ensure that everything was thought of to make anyone's stay a true taste of paradise. I do not have anything negative or even constructive to say - it was perfect! I would recommend this home-away-from-home anytime to anyone."
- J.N. (Abu Dhabi)

"We've just had the most fantastic holiday at the Brentwood Artist Farmhouse, this is a truly special place to stay. Completely private and secluded, this was a week of pure relaxation in what felt like our very own retreat. The accommodation is highly equipped with no stone uncovered. The kitchen has everything a professional chief would require to create a banquet – with the huge dining tables available (one indoor and one outdoor) The décor is very artistic – no deceiving in the title of the accommodation. The owner Delphine has a great eye for style and provides a very contemporary, relaxing environment. This is an Eco House so if you like “caring for the planet” this is most definitely for you. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival with some goodies for us in the fridge and pantry. Outside there are fig trees (found a love for these on this trip!) blueberry bushes, various fresh herbs, pomegranate and berry bushes, lemon and lime trees and the biggest surprise of all a grapefruit tree. All very tasty. We were instructed to “help ourselves!” Would have been rude not to! The pool is a welcome treat to cool off , one night we lit the candles supplied around the pool and had floating candles on the water (also provided) It was stunning and set off the chain of lights that festoon the exterior. At night there is no room for getting bored – not with all the board games available, up to date magazines, music systems, TV, DVD, numerous interesting books. We only left the property a few times with a 30 minute walk to Brentwood village – a must visit. All in all, an amazing holiday that we would love to repeat. The worst part of the trip? Going back to grey Britain!"
- G.G. (UK)

"For our first airbnb experience, our 2 hosts in SF and then in LA were great. We had a great and warm welcome by Delphine. Her house is very lovely, decorated with a lot of very original items coming from her international and mixed experiences background. The pool was really a plus due to the heat wave and the location is ideal : lost in a canyon like in Mandeville Canyon and only 10 minutes from Santa Monica and 15 from rodeo drive."
P.H. (France)

"Our stay at Delphine's place was amazing, her house is like a garden of Eden, very peaceful and comfortable. She is full of attention for her guests and the house and the garden are beautiful. We can't wait to come back!"
M.F. (France)

"Delphine is a wonderful host who has created an amazing home which is well equipped for respectful entertaining. If you have the opportunity to visit Los Angeles, I highly recommend visiting Delphine and experiencing the relaxing environment she has created. "
C.C. (Northern California)

"Delphine's place is truly a place for the soul. The house is thoroughly thought through and everywhere you look is a piece of art, a beautiful sight, a place to relax or contemplate. The materials, the quality and the atmosphere feels nourishing. Here you sleep well and you feel well. I would recommend this place to anyone who'd like to visit LA, be close to the buzzing city life and have a peaceful retreat at the same time. I felt very much at home at Delphine's Farmhouse where the European and the Californian blend in perfect harmony. I hope to come back - very soon. "
L.N. (Finland)

"This is a stylishly decorated and beautifully maintained home with its own eclectic character in one of Los Angeles' most desirable wooded enclaves. The location is close to everything yet the moment you enter the home, you feel as though you have been swept away to a summer house in the South of France: from the pool, the jasmine, the gorgeous vintage furniture, luxurious furnishings and tasteful decor. Delphine is a wonderfully welcoming and gracious host and has paid meticulous attention to detail to make you feel relaxed and at home and your stay a most enjoyable one."
